""A Coming Of Age Movie Where What's Coming Of Age Is An Entire Era""

On Galiano Island, a small island off the coast of British Columbia, a community lives in complete seclusion. Hal Kingswood (RH Thomson) is the principal of the only school where his two daughters, adolescent Cleo (Tara Frederick) and little Zoe (Aloka McLean), also attend. The arrival of a new progressive teacher Anne-Marie (Michèle-Barbara Pelletier) causes a lot of fuss, especially since Hal falls in love with her and the youngest child Zoe notices this.
