The Lighthouse by the Sea plot
A lighthouse keeper and his daughter have big problems on two fronts. If the authorities find out that he is slowly going blind, they will remove him from his position. And then there's a gang of booze smugglers trying to destroy the lighthouse so they can land their illegal cargo without being noticed.
