The Challengers plot

After her father's death, twelve-year-old Meggie moves with her mother to another city. While Mom goes out to work, Meggie is allowed to go to a youth club. However, she doesn't know anyone there and that's why she doesn't feel at home there. She then befriends a girl next door, whose parents are divorced. When she meets the rock band "The Challengers", everything changes instantly. However, the boys don't want girls in their midst. She devises a ruse and dresses up. After all kinds of adventurous situations, everything works out and she is accepted into the group together with her new girlfriend.
