Superjuffie in de Jungle plot
When parrot Hyacintha flies into Miss Josje's garden on a sunny spring day, it marks the beginning of a brand-new adventure. The cheeky bird has flown all the way from the other side of the world with an urgent message: the animals in the jungle need help. Holiday resorts are being built there, causing animals to lose their homes and even be imprisoned. But can Miss Josje, as Superjuffie, fly all the way to the other side of the world? And what can she do to stop the plans of the evil businessman Eduardo?

Animal protector and “Superjuffie” Josje [Diewertje Dir] and students Toby [Polle van Geffen], Mila [Quinthe Hozee], and Mano [Béla Bussink] fly supersonically to the jungle. Eduardo [Oscar Aerts] has constructed a dome in which he holds animals captive for a tourist “paradise.” Superjuffie faces her biggest challenge and doubts if she can handle it. Mr. Snor [Harry Piekema] is preparing for the 10-yearly mustache contest, and Hakim helps him renovate the school building during the school holidays. Dir is fine in the title role and Piekema is amusing as the headmaster, but the children's acting leaves much to be desired. Aerts overplays his villainous role, and mediocre voice acting ruins most opportunities to increase the entertainment value with the many talking animals.
