Skippy plot

This film is based on the then popular comic strip by artist Percy Crosby. When Skippy (Jackie Cooper) befriends Sooky (Robert Coogan), he interrupts his usual routine to evade his parents' rules. A dog catcher threatens to put Sooky's dog to sleep if the permit is not paid. The two boys have three days to get the money together. In addition, Skippy tries to convince his father, the local health caretaker, not to demolish the slum (where Sooky also lives, among others). In their struggle against this, the boys go from one adventure to the next.
