Silver Bells plot
When an ambitious businessman gets into an argument with an umpire at his son's basketball game, he is suspended from his job and given community service: managing a collection box and ringing bells for the Salvation Army for the rest of the Christmas season. At first he finds this humiliating and in his self-pity he decides to do his job very badly.
