Pauls Reise plot

Ten-year-old Paul suffers from leukemia, which means that he is in hospital often and for a long time. However, he doesn't feel so bad at all, and above all finds the hospital boring and unsociable. That is why he decides to leave the hospital on his own, and to hide in his father's truck, which is just then leaving for a transport to Spain. Only in France does Paul appear, much to his father's concern, who realizes that Paul should actually be in the hospital. As a driver, however, he has a tight schedule to follow, so there is only one thing to do: Paul has to go to Spain.
