Paradis Amers plot

To Hugo's dismay, his parents-teachers- have moved to Mayotte, a small area owned by France and lost somewhere in the heart of the Indian Ocean. Hugo is the only white student in his class, has trouble adjusting and cannot find his place. Shocked by the behavior of some emigrants and also by the misery of the people, he thinks only one thing, return to Metropolis. However, in high school he meets a nice girl.
