König Drosselbart plot

A fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm about a little princess who is pushed into adulthood by her father, but cannot choose a husband. The king (Georg Gütlich) is annoyed and exclaims that his daughter must marry the first man she meets. Taking no risks, the king is in league with the rejected King Drosselbart (Ottokar Runze), who shaves his beard for the occasion and dresses up as a young beggar. The princess (Gisela Fritsch) is charmed by this young man whom she first meets on her way. Drosselbart puts his young wife to the test.
