Kaule plot

Eleven-year-old Kaule lives with his aunt in Hinrichsfelde, a small village in Mecklenburg. The clever and lively boy is constantly coming up with plans to help others. However, since they usually fail, his fellow human beings often have difficulty appreciating these plans. Things get even worse when Kaule meets Karola, a girl who is new to the village. For Kaule, the daughter of the cattle technician Hollnagel is the most beautiful creature on earth, and he begins to court her passionately. Unfortunately, his good intentions repeatedly backfire.
