"Let Him Steal Your Heart."

Amanda is a six-year-old girl and she wants a grandfather as a Christmas present. Strangely enough, her wish comes true. Elmer, an elderly petty thief, is caught by Amanda's father, Reg, when he tries to break into his car. To make up for the damage, Reg lets Elmer do all kinds of odd jobs. Amanda and Elmer become the best of friends and Amanda thinks he would be a good grandfather to her. Then Elmer finds out that he is indeed her grandfather and that Reg is his long-lost son. Embarrassed, Elmer runs away. Amanda goes looking for him.
