"Coming home is easy."
Luke Mackenzie is grieving the loss of his wife Kelley, killed in a car accident on an icy country road during a winter snowstorm. Within days, the Mackenzies' lives are turned upside down. The family travels to the small central Florida town of Mound City for the funeral, and Luke, comforted only by the material happiness of an insurance settlement, decides to stay in Florida and start his own horse ranch. His eldest son sets off alone, but his father is prepared to welcome him back with open arms.
