Frau Holle plot

One day, a diligent girl, Rosemarie, who was forced to work very hard by her mother, dropped the spool into the well while spinning. In a panic, Rosemarie jumps into the well and thus ends up in the world of Vrouw Holle. Industrious as she is, she helps Lady Holle with all kinds of chores, even shaking out the duvet, which makes it snow on earth. Lady Holle rewards her by showering her with gold. When Rosemarie returns home and tells her story, her sister Elsemarie is jealous. She too will be topped with gold, she thinks, and jumps into the pit. However, Elsemarie is far from diligent and Mrs. Holle rewards her in a different way.
