"Partners in survival. Friends for life."
Teen Angus adopts a dog and names it Yellow. A few days later, they and his father travel by boat along the coast of British Columbia. Angus and the dog are stranded when the boat capsizes. Angus' parents organize a rescue operation. Angus, who learned survival techniques from his father, tries to reach the rescuers with Yellow's assistance.
