Don't Expect Praises plot

Xiaobo and Yangjin are two friends, one the top of the class, the other a slow storyteller. Spurred on by all those wild stories, Yangjin decides to spend the summer vacation in Xiaobo's village on the Yellow River. Although the boys make plenty of plans, nothing happens.
