Huckleberry (or simply called Huck) Finn is well looked after and dressed every day by the widow Douglas and Ms. Watson, where he is served by the obedient house slave Jim. He now also regularly attends school and church. He and his friend Tom Sawyer, after finding a treasure during their latest adventure, are very wealthy boys. But Huck loves living in the open air in his rain barrel, catching fish and roasting them on a stick over a campfire. Shoes, jackets, a shirt with a stiff collar, it's not for him. But one day it will be over with the good village life and the small liberties. Huck's greedy, drunken father resurfaces in St. Petersburg and he's up to something...
