De Piraten van Hiernaast 2: De Ninja's van de Overkant plot
The Pirates of Next door feel completely at home in Zandwijk, but the atmosphere cools down when ninjas come to live in the street. After all, pirates and ninjas are sworn enemies. While Pirate Captain Hector Blunderbuss struggles to get rid of his new neighbors, his son Billy and ninja daughter Yuka become friends. The pirates challenge the ninjas to the ultimate battle at the village's annual hexathlon. Who will win the match? Ninjas are faster and more agile, of course, but pirates are the best cheaters of the seven seas…

The pirate family Donderbus has permanently settled in Zandwijk after the battle against Knokige Krelis [Tygo Gernandt]. Neighborhood children Michiel [Matti Stooker], Elizabeth [Celeste Holsheimer] and Billy [Samuel Beau Reurekas] have become each other's best friends. But the peace is broken by the arrival of new neighbors: Ninja Mia Katana [Jung Sun den Hollander] and her daughter Yuka [Kyana Pacis], who have been on the run from the Shinobis since they got their hands on the Sword of the Elements. An age-old blood feud between Pirates and Ninjas flares up, but when Pirate Billy and Ninja Yuka become friends, the kids decide to join forces to end the feud peacefully. Woody acting, weak jokes, exaggerated acting by Egbert Jan Weeber (as father Hector Donderbus) and clumsily filmed and edited action scenes testify to a careless production. Gernandt still adds some life to the brewery, but this is a hackneyed sequel that will (also) appeal less to children than The Pirates Next Door.
