Bird Boy plot

Orphan August is a child who seems to belong nowhere—until he ends up on a farm in rural South Africa. Initially skeptical of his well-meaning foster parents and struggling to adjust to his new school, everything changes when August finds an egg. When the egg hatches and a baby ostrich emerges, they forge a lasting friendship. August and his ostrich, named Koobus, spend every moment together, and their days are filled with laughter, camaraderie, and plenty of dancing. Until one day, Koobus tries to defend August from the school bully and ends up being sent to an ostrich farm. Determined to save his friend, August risks everything, and together they learn the true meaning of friendship.
