...Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya plot

"Grandpa and Grandma Kapoor live a wealthy life-style with their only widower son, Kailashnath and his daughter Ashi who is of marriage-able age."

The Kapoor family is a wealthy family. When daughter Ashi gets old enough, the family starts looking for a suitable groom for her. They meet the Malhotra family, childhood friends of Ashi's parents. Their son Rohit is now also old enough to get married. So the families want to get Ashi and Rohit married. Ashi travels to Switzerland, where Rohit has a clothing store. There she meets Bobby Oberoi. But Ashi mistakes him for Rohit, and Ashi and Bobby fall in love. The Malhotra family visits Bobby's parents and approves the marriage. But just before the wedding, the police come for Ashi's brother and he is arrested. The brother gets angry and calls off the wedding, demanding that Ashi marry Rohit after all.
