Zweitland plot

South Tyrol, 1961. The northern Italian region is shaken by a series of separatist bombings. While the young farmer's son Paul wants to escape the hopelessness of his village and study painting, his older brother Anton fights uncompromisingly for the protection of the German-speaking minority, if necessary by force. After Anton is unmasked as one of the perpetrators, he flees, leaving his farm and family behind. Paul reluctantly postpones his own plans to support Anton's wife Anna and their son.
