Bavaria, summer 1984. Landlord and farmer Pankraz and his adult son Semi have just buried their wife and mother Theres. After the memorial, the two men review the family's history in their restaurant. A story that begins in 1914. Thus, the history of the Pankraz family becomes more and more a story of the events of an entire era.
