Zhan Huo Zhong De Ba Lei plot

A Chinese ballet enthusiast has a romance with a Russian officer in northeastern China. This area is largely occupied by Japanese forces from 1931 to 1945. After Japan surrenders on September 2, 1945, some 300 Japanese soldiers and officers flee to the forests bordering China and Russia. When discovered by two Chinese children, the Japanese troops slaughter an entire village.
