Zemlya v Plenu plot

Jacob, a farmer returns from the war to his wife Marie. He asks a baron if he can use a small part of his land. He gets a rocky piece of land with nothing to do. In return, the Baron asks Jacob's wife to take care of his newborn grandchild. However, the child's father abuses Maria, causing a scandal.
