Zara plot

One evening, fifteen-year-old student Zara rings the doorbell of her teacher Gijs. She tells that she has been beaten by her father and has nowhere else to go. Gijs hesitates, but finds it difficult to leave the vulnerable girl on the street. However, as the evening progresses, Zara manages to pull him out of his role as a wise teacher through lies and intrigue. Until the moment that it all goes too far and he wakes up the next morning with regret.
