Zaman, l'Homme des Roseaux plot
"The First Iraqi Film in Over 15 Years!"
In a swamp area in southern Iraq, Zaman lives with his wife and Yassin, an 11-year-old orphaned boy who lost his parents during the First Gulf War. The three live in thatched cottages and despite being scarred by what they've been through, they seem happy. Until the day when Zaman learns that his wife is suffering from a mysterious illness. The only doctor in the area advises him to go to town and buy the necessary medicines. Zaman departs at dawn and the journey, which takes him through highlights of human and Iraq history, will take him three days.
