Yûyake-gumo plot
Sixteen-year-old Yoichi dreams of becoming a sailor. His parents are fishmongers and he lives with them and his four siblings in a small house. His younger sister is given away to a childless uncle, his girlfriend finds another and his friend moves. Slowly Yoichi loses everyone he cares about.
