Yuryev Den plot

The Moscow opera diva Luybov (Xenia Rappoport) takes her son to Yuriev in central Russia. He's a geek in his twenties who doesn't like his mother's enthusiasm for the strange and mysterious charms of the province. During a trip to a medieval fortress, the young man disappears. Grief-stricken, the mother turns to the population for help, and as her despair mounts, she undergoes a bizarre physical and spiritual transformation.
