Yam Daabo plot

Poverty and misery are pervasive in Gourga, a village in the Sahel. The inhabitants have to choose: stay and wait for international aid or move to more fertile areas in the country. A farming family consisting of an elderly mother and father with their young son Ali, their daughter Bintou and her beloved Salam travel south. When they stop in a town to sell their donkey, Ali is hit by a car and he dies. The family travels on in search of a better life.
