Wo de Ma Ye plot

An eighteen-year-old discovers his deceased mother's diary and tries to piece together her exuberant, complex life. Parents—and mothers in particular—are often more mysterious than we'd like to admit. Shiyi never had the chance to truly know his mother. His image of her, therefore, bears no resemblance to the enchanting, rebellious, and determined woman who emerges from her hidden diary.
