Wir Wollten aufs Meer plot
The two friends Cornelis and Andreas want to join the sea as sailors in 1982, but years later they are still ashore in Rostock. To fulfill their dream, the two are hired by the Stasi to spy on a man who wants to flee. While one has moral considerations, the other becomes a traitor and ends up in a wheelchair after an accident. However, he continues to work for the Stasi and gives up his ideals, even his friend ends up in prison.
