Poulet aux Prunes plot

Nasser Ali Khan, a famous musician, no longer wants to live. Since his violin was destroyed, no instrument seems to inspire him anymore. His sadness is heightened by the fact that his childhood sweetheart, whom he meets on the street shortly after this incident, no longer recognizes him. Nasser searches in vain for an instrument that can replace his violin. In the end he comes to the only remaining conclusion: since no violin can give him pleasure in life, he wishes to die. He goes through all the possible ways to die: being crushed by a train, throwing himself off a cliff, putting a bullet through the head, taking an overdose of pills… But none of these avenues are worthy of a man of his rank. He is ultimately the best violinist of his time: Nasser Ali Khan.
