Wir Sind Doch Schwestern plot

In 1994, three elderly sisters get together on a manor farm to celebrate the centenary of the oldest among them. However, the birthday boy Hiltrud has turned up against her will. She is pressured by her two years younger sister Martha to reconcile with the now 84-year-old follower Betty. Hiltrud, however, has always loathed Betty's lifestyle as a housekeeper and secret mistress of landlord Heinrich Verhoeven. She also holds Betty responsible for the death of her fiancé Franz, Heinrich's younger brother, during the First World War.
