Winter in the Blood plot

Virgil First Raise lives on a reservation in Montana. He is still dealing with the death of his brother twenty years ago when one day he wakes up on the side of the road with a hangover. When he returns home, his wife Agnes appears to have run off with his rifle and razor. Virgil sets out to find his wife and is soon confronted with his past in his quest. He makes a discovery that brings him closer to himself and also strengthens his bond with the land.
