Wildfeuer plot

Deaf-mute Gottfried (Karl Tessler) saves poet Emerenz (Anica Dobra) from rape by killing her assailant with a sickle. She subsequently maintains a relationship with him, while at the same time she is the protégé of the wealthy Helmberger (Josef Bierbichler) with whom she also has an affair. She can't choose and when Gottfried accidentally kills a prostitute, she loses him and ends up in that world herself.
