Wilbur Falls plot

Renata Devereaux reveals during her farewell speech at the graduation ceremony that she drowned a fellow student. Her story is told in flashbacks; how she accidentally drowned the boy. The boy who mocked her. After the drowning, Renata could not get out of trouble. She had to help her friend Jodi with an abortion. However, her fellow villagers thought it was she who was pregnant, because they saw her on television at a demonstration against abortion. Then something started to blossom between Renata and Jodi...
