Wie Es Geschah plot

Karin is married to a pharmacist. Happy? She doesn't know herself. In any case, the dependence on her 18 years older and highly educated husband is starting to bore her. When one day her former school friend Dr. Heinrich, she gets the impulse to free herself from the conjugal cage. Very different is the young, attractive hotel clerk Gisa, who enjoys life to the fullest, independent of all influences. When Gisa and Karin's paths cross at the hotel, it has dramatic consequences.
