Where the Black Sand Burns plot

Mateo lives in a small village on the rim of a volcano. When it awakens, Alejandra, his love, sees it as an opportunity to leave and explore the wider world. Mateo, on the other hand, wants to stay. As everything threatens to fall apart, Mateo realizes there's nowhere left to hide—not even behind the volcano.
