Whatever Happens Next plot
One day, 43-year-old Paul Zeise decides to give in to a thought that most people would quickly dismiss. He leaves everything behind: his wife, his job and his entire existence in the middle class. From this moment on, he roams the land as a villain and con man. He attends uninvited parties and funerals, colludes with a demented grandmother, and inadvertently scares a small family by brazenly pushing his way into their lives. With a student who wants to go to Poland, he roams the streets homeless and ends up temporarily in hospital before falling in love with the slightly deranged Nele (29) who in turn draws him to the wonderland that is her life. Paul has no idea that his wife has hired a private detective who is now on his tail.
