Wetherby plot

John Morgan (Tim McInnery) is a stranger in the small town of Wetherby, who commits suicide for no apparent reason in the kitchen of Jean Travers (Vanessa Redgrave). She is a single school teacher and is seriously confused by this event. She wants to investigate the mutual relations in the town and organizes a dinner for her friends.
