The young couple Guy and Bee, who thought they were married, later suspect that the ceremony was illegal. When Bee becomes pregnant, they are ostracized by the townspeople and temporarily separate. Finally, the person who performed the wedding ceremony sees an account of Guy's predicament in a newspaper, and is able to provide the missing marriage certificate, thus clearing Guy and Bee of any wrongdoing.
