Wenn Ich Nicht Mehr Lebe plot

Mother Sabine Schreiber (Anke Sevenich) is told during a routine examination by the doctor that she has cancer. She is already at an advanced stage and she has only a short time to live. She herself is very brave with this knowledge, but her friends and her husband Michael (Heio Von Setten) are not sure how to react. She decides that the best thing for her husband and children is to find a new wife to take care of them when she is gone. And she finds it in the figure of kindergarten teacher Eva Fischer (Susanne Michel). Both women immediately agree and, coincidentally, Miss Eva Fischer's parents have a pony stud, where the family can spend one last vacation, get used to each other and prepare for a new future.
