Charlie and Ed are best friends. Charlie, who lives in his late mother's house, drinks himself into oblivion every night. Although Ed also drinks regularly, he is not as addicted to alcohol as his best friend. After a night of drinking goes wrong, Charlie feels obliged to help his friend kick the habit. While Charlie is in the shower trying to get rid of the smell of alcohol and drinking more alcohol at the same time, Ed searches the house and pours out all the alcohol he can find.
