Washingtonia plot

Washingtonia robusta is considered one of the most elegant palm species in the world. That is why it was imported to Greece for the 2004 Olympic Games, because most native palms had fallen prey to a red beetle, which eats the heart of the palm tree. However, the pests do not like to eat Washingtonia hearts because they are too small.
