Warabi no Kou plot

"Warabi no kou" takes place in a mountain village in Japan where poverty is a constant and famine is only one bad harvest away. To conserve food supplies, villagers are exiled to a remote village called "Warabino" after they turn sixty. Those who survive the autumn and winter are allowed to return, something that only a few of them actually manage....
