Walls plot
Social worker Joan Trembley tries to get a more humane policy in the strict BC prison, but she encounters much resistance from the prison guards. When she meets Danny Baker, a notorious murderer, and after much struggle, manages to have his five-year solitary confinement commuted to a regular prison sentence, the case escalates. The guards try to reverse the decision through fictitious accusations, after which Danny, along with two fellow inmates, takes a number of staff members, including Joan, hostage. When the management has a special unit intervene, it comes to a violent climax.
