Wai Sing plot
Ling is a high school student whose daily life increasingly resembles an uncontrollable nightmare. He ends up in the middle of a local scandal about underage prostitution, which takes place in his residential complex. He makes his way through the policemen and reporters and tries to get a ride because he wants to go to school. But things aren't much better at school. Ling's teaching involves classrooms in total disarray and toilets where bad schoolgirls try to put their heads in the toilet for the smallest boys. At home, his mother is depressed and doesn't even react when her husband gives the youngest son Jun a good beating for disturbing him while watching the horse races on TV. The physical abuse drives Jun away from his parents, and no one seems to really care if he suddenly doesn't come home at all. Ling has moments of regret, but most of the time he's studying so he can get away from Tin Shui Wai someday. But during his exam, he is disturbed by children who throw things in the classroom. Until the police take him off his test to have a chat with him.
