"Arthur Miller's Drama of Love and Obsession"
Eddie Carbon (Raf Vallone) is a Brooklyn dock worker who is unhappily married to Beatrice (Maureen Stapleton) and secretly in love with their niece Catherine whom they have raised since she was a small child. When Eddie and Beatrice take in two illegal workers, one of them falls in love with Catherine. Eddie doesn't know what to do and decides to report the two to Immigration.
