Vorobey plot

According to a legend, many years ago in the Siberian village of Vasilievka, a herd of beautiful horses suddenly appeared. Since that time the villagers have protected the horses as their greatest treasure and even in times of great scarcity they managed to preserve the horses. Due to a crop failure, the village has gone bankrupt and the village elder decides to sell the horses to the slaughterhouse in order to pay off all debts. Only one villager does not accept the sad fate of the horses and revolts: the ten-year-old shepherd's son Mitya Vorobiev.
