Voor het Donker plot

Olaf, a 20-year-old engineering student, lives with his father Vincent. Once a renowned architect, now suffering from early Alzheimer's. Olaf struggles with it, because he wants to continue to see Vincent as the man who knows everything. Leading up to a birthday party organized by Olaf for his dad, their surroundings darken; a concrete wall casts a shadow over their house from the garden and Vincent's condition continues to deteriorate. Olaf will have to see that living together in the present is more valuable than trying to hold on to what once was.
