Jim Burton, a chronic alcoholic, is cared for by Ellen, Jim's very patient, sexy and hardworking wife. A warning from the doctor that he could become mentally ill impresses him so much that he wants to be cured, but he cannot. One night he meets William Tobin, a fellow alcoholic, and Jim discovers that he can help himself by helping William.
